Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client
I just installed today's netbook daily, and sync daemon gets started by default. This ruins startup performance and isn't necessary unless U1 is actually configured to work (gets LP credentials, etc.).
Right now, /etc/xdg/

The correct way to disable file sync in U1 is to do so in the ubuntuone- preferences dialog. Disabling the autostart of any app in the session startup properties dialog has no merit on whether or not the app listed there will actually start or not at some other point in the session. It merely means that the executable specified in the autostart file will not be run by the session manager. Any DBus service for example, will probably be run as soon as anything which uses that service, requests a connection to it. This is the case for Ubuntu One as well as many other services also listed there.
