Bug Description
Except for a tmp directory, my home directory gets backed up every night at work. Since I do not wish to back up my Ubuntu One directory at work the fact that the Ubuntu One related directories are hard coded makes me disinclined to use it. The actual location for other "standard" directories in Ubuntu can be be changed by updating the ~/.config/
On a related note, why are all the various ubuntu one related directories scattered about my home directory? I don't understand why ~/.ubuntuone exists at all; why can't it's contents be moved to ~/Ubuntu One? And why is ~/Ubuntu One/Shared With Me a soft link? Why not move the contents of ~/.local/
Finally, I agree with all the other folks that using spaces in all the various standard Ubuntu directories is ill conceived and very frustrating.

I am one of those who thinks that spaces are not a natural thing to have in filenames in unices of all sorts, as they are in windows, and workarounds are messy and not bulletproof.
I would suggest all spaces in names be removed in future releases.
Ubuntu One -> UbuntuOne.
