philinux,
Could you please try deleting your syncdaemon.conf. Currently it has a write limit of -1. Ubuntu One will regenerate a new one.

1. Close Ubuntu One Preferences panel if it is open.

2. Run the following command in a Terminal to quit the syncdaemon:

u1sdtool -q

3. Run the following command in a Terminal:

rm ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf

4. Start Ubuntu One as normal from the Me Menu

Please let us know if this improves your situation. After you make a new comment please change the 'Status' of your bug back to 'New'. The status of a bug report can be modified by clicking on the current status in the yellow line, which will reveal a sub menu. You can then set a new status in the drop down box.

thank you,

That worked thanks. How come the cloud icon does not show? I would prefer to see the notification icon. There doesn't seem to be an option in the prefs.

philinux,
good news, you got it working. The applet in the panel was replaced by the Ubuntu One Preferences that you find in the me Menu.

thank you,
