Hi, I am the "puiut" user from the chat.

I had a symlink to a folder in the "Ubuntu One" folder. Since ubuntuone did not handle symlinks and had no user defined folders in Ubuntu 9.10 I stopped using it for a while. Today I updated Ubuntu to beta 10.04 and in Nautilus I used right-click to select the same folder (but outside the "Ubuntu One") to be synchronized on ubuntuone as a user defined folder. The structure of the folder appeared online but no file was uploaded. A few minutes ago I erased the link in "Ubuntu One" folders as well as from the "My Files" part online. Unfortunately, my files are still not synchronized. I uploaded also a separate file online and it did not show up in my "Ubuntu One" folder either.

Thank you,
Marius

Marius,
last night i was able to get a similar behaviour out of my Ubuntu One. I selected a folder outside of Ubuntu One and the folders appeared but the files did not. This morning however I woke up and the files where there. Could you run the command below, replacing ~/Ubuntu\ One with the directory you assigned to Sync. This will tell us how many files there are.

 find ~/Ubuntu\ One | wc -l

Additionally. Could you possibly make a folder and create, or move, a simple text file into it. Then choose it to sync with Ubuntu One. It is my hope that these steps might help us determine if your sync is broken or just slow. Thank you for your continued patience in this matter.

thank you,
duanedesign

Marius,
Have not heard from you in a while and was wondering if this was still an issue for you. If so please run the following command to attach new information to your bug:

apport-collect -p ubuntuone-client 548397

And change the bug 'Status' back to 'New'. You can change the status by clicking the Yellow circle with the exclamation point next to the 'Status' at the top of the page.

thank you and best of luck,
duanedesign
