Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store

I've just bought a couple of albums from the store, and the files have transferred over to my Ubuntu One storage, but the music store's "My Downloads" screen is still stuck on "Transferring to your Ubuntu One storage".

I've tried restarting Rhythmbox (and my computer) but with no luck. Apart from logging in to one.ubuntu.com and downloading each file one-by-one, there doesn't seem to be any way to get the music I paid for.

This is an issue for me as well. The Ubuntu One daemon seems to be functioning correctly:

john@john-laptop:~$ u1sdtool -s
State: QUEUE_MANAGER
    connection: With User With Network
    description: processing queues
    is_connected: True
    is_error: False
    is_online: True
    queues: IDLE

I have tested my connection to the Ubuntu One account by adding a file via the web interface (which appears in my Ubuntu One folder) and adding a file to the Ubuntu One folder (which also appears on the web interface). I tried to download the tracks about 3 hours ago. They were added to my Ubuntu One account almost immediately and can be downloaded individually, but there is still no sign of them in my Purchased from Ubuntu One UDF. The UDF is definitely active:

john@john-laptop:~$ u1sdtool --list-folders
Folder list:
  id=56a38f94-b2e0-43c1-8705-dc6538fc9727 subscribed=True path=/home/john/.ubuntuone/Purchased from Ubuntu One

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like synchronising files to your machine
may be having problems. If you have time to ask in #ubuntuone about
this, the team may be able to help you interactively. Since the files
have appeared in the web interface, this is an ubuntuone-client problem;
reassigning to that package.

This was a problem for me but now appears to be working. Can anyone else confirm either way?

It seems to be working for me too, Twig.

I've got a few downloads now that are stuck on "Preparing your download", though I imagine that's a separate issue.

I am marking this bug as Invalid as it no longer appears to be a problem for the user. If this problem does become an issue again please come back here and change the Status back to 'New' and attach the following logs to this bug: ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log & ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon-exceptions.log

thank you,

this bug affects me on a 64bit system. Half the files are viewable on the web interface of ubuntuone, but they don't seem to sync to the system.

I see syncing to "Transferring to your Ubuntu One storage" on rhythembox (0.12.8)
Package: rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store 0.0.5-0ubuntu2

~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log:

2010-04-02 14:15:28,890 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.SDTool - DEBUG - get_info
2010-04-02 14:15:28,894 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.SDTool - DEBUG - is_files_sync_enabled
2010-04-02 14:23:31,880 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.SDTool - DEBUG - get_info
2010-04-02 14:23:31,883 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.SDTool - DEBUG - is_files_sync_enabled

~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon-exceptions.log
 is empty.

This is a pretty vanilla install with only one external ppa

update:

After i added a blank file into the ~/.ubuntuone/Purchased from Ubuntu One

folder to try and force syncing the music disapeared from the ubuntuone webservice.

Note: rhythembox still says transfering

There has been movement on this.

I removed the blank file from the ~/.ubuntuone/Purchased from Ubuntu One

I then placed all the purchased music back into the folder, now the files seem to be half synced to my system.

There is a screen shot of where it stuck at now.

But the music has now appeared twice in my list.

I just did a clean install of 10.04 beta 2. I purchased the new Gorillaz album. In Rhythmbox, it's said "transferring songs to your Ubuntu One storage" for 50 minutes now, with no evidence of progress. Online, when I sign in to my Ubuntu One account and browse folders, 11 out of 16 songs show up as having been downloaded.

I think that other bug is the duplicate (as this one is older), i have been
providing information on irc #ubunutone to help resolve this.

This bug is older, however the other bug has official comment from Canonical discussing their progress towards a fix for this issue. Thus I believe that bug to be more complete, hence marking this as a duplicate of that bug. They have also confirmed this to be a server-side issue, so any bugs against Ubuntu One Client would be invalid.
