Bug Description

I have configured 2 computers to connect to Ubuntu One.
Both appear in my account.
However, syncronization (neither of ~/Ubuntu One files nor of Tomboy notes) does not work.
Both computers are behind the firewalls.

Sergei,
Thanks for reporting the bug. Sorry to hear you are having problems with Ubuntu One.

Could you please attach the ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log file to this bug report? (for both computers)
This log file contains information about what actions are performed by syncdaemon, the application that is in charge of file sync in ubuntuone. You can attach the log using the 'Add Attachment or Patch' button at the bottom of the page.

Are both computers behind the same firewall? Are they running the same version of Ubuntu?

After attaching your logs please change the 'Status' of the bug back to 'New'. You can do this by clicking the yellow circle with the exclamation point next to the 'Status' at the top of the page.

thank you,
duanedesign

Hi, Duanedesign!

My computers are behind different firewalls.
Both firewalls allow for outbound ssh and http(s) connections,
and inbound tunneled ssh and http(s) connections.
One computer is running Ubuntu 9.10 (natively),
the other Ubuntu 10.04 alpha2 (runnung as a fully virtualized
guest in a VM under Xen in CentOS 5.4). I am attaching now the
.cache/ubuntuone/log/daemon.log for the last one.
Will send you the other log as soon as I reach the university.

Best regards,
Sergei

Note that the version in Lucid does not, at this time, connect automatically; you have to either click 'connect' in the devices tab in the control panel, or enter “u1sdtool -c” in a terminal.
