Bug Description

This started to happen after I installed kubuntu-desktop on a machine running gnome.

Hello Diego,

It appears that some of your file or folder has an invalid utf-8 name.

Could you please run the script for ubuntuone diagnostics as described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RomanYepishev/UbuntuOne/Diagnostics , it should show you the location of the files that are causing this to happen.

When you rename the files/folders it should stop crashing.

Sorry for taking long to reply to this issue. Running the script showed no errors but I still cannot sync with ubuntuone:
