Clientmail Evolution does not send emails (and Firefox is slow) since Ubuntuone on my Jaunty (desktop) and Karmic on my laptop

I installed Karmic on my laptop and ubuntuone on a desktop running Jaunty yesternight. I do not see any logical reason why, but it seems that since then any internet app is much slower (Firefox) or even failing to work (Evolution,for instance, cannot send a very light mail) on both these computers. I made sure that the connexion is OK.
