Bug Description

Ubuntu One is incorrectly saying that "Your files are up-to-date." when the contents of the website and the local machine don't match. I have two machines that I use Ubuntu One on. Last night I uploaded some files on my desktop PC, now I am trying to access them on my laptop. Ubuntu One cloud icon tool tip says: "Your files are up-to-date." ideally I would this is accurately reflect the state of the folder vs the web interface, and provide an option to sync the local folder if they are out of sync. Alternatively a method to force a check. Many thanks.

Hi Michael,

I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. Fortunately, I think there is a workaround for this problem as I believe it's related to bug 455544 which occurs when the bandwidth preferences are set too low (or to the defaults). If you delete ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf and restart the Ubuntu One client, you should be able to connect.

Thank you,

Joshua

Thanks, Joshua. Deleting the config file appears to work, at least partially. I may also be seeing https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+bug/487257; I'll add to that.

Joshua, can you please follow up on this and mark it as a dupe of one of the other bugs if it is so? Thanks.
