Bug Description

Hi,

I have the following behavior with ubuntu one. The icon in the panel starts and when I click on it says your files are up to date (which is not correct) and below it says disconnect. When I click on disconnect never disconnects. Now from my home folder I open the ubuntu one folder and I click on connect says connecting but it never connects.

I am using ubuntu 9.10 updated from 9.04. I have a subscription of 50GB.

For couple of days I could connect and after I ad my computer I manage to upload 2,9GB., I deleted my computer in order to add it again bu no lack since due to the problems I just reported I am unable to connect. Can you help me please?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi!

can you please paste the content of the ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf file?

You should have something like this:

nessita@dali:~$ cat ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf
[bandwidth_throttling]
on = False
read_limit = 0
write_limit = 0

If your config has

on = True

Please quit the client through the task bar, change the throttling setting, and start it again. It should work :-)

Let us know if this helps!

I have a similar problem. I don't even have this file "syncdaemon.conf.

All my problems started after i added two APPs from this site:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuone/+archive/stable

Naty,

I did what you suggested but no luck. The ubuntu one client starts and I can see in task manager but never updating.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi all,

are you still experiencing this issue? If so, I would need you to attach all the logs files located at:

~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/

Thank you very much!

Hi Michael,

by looking at your logs I see that you have a corrupted metadata file. This issue is a duplicated from Bug #522859.

In order to have a working client again, you should run in a terminal:

find ~/.local/share/ubuntuone -name '504b4cbb-7d70-44bd-9e53-a32e6cc12064'

and remove the filename returned by that command. The filename to be removed will look something like this:

~/.local/share/ubuntuone/syncdaemon/fsm/5/0/4/504b4cbb-7d70-44bd-9e53-a32e6cc12064

If you have any question, please let me know.
Thank you.
