If possible, could you please do the following in a terminal with the client connected:

tail -f ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log

Then click disconnect. What does the command above display when you click disconnect?
If you could paste it, this would be helpful.

Thank you.

Hi John,

That is what I got:

2009-12-15 14:17:53,208 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.ActionQueue - WARNING - connection lost: Connection was closed cleanly.
2009-12-15 14:17:53,208 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.ActionQueue - WARNING - Unlink share:'' node:'f3e39ae8-b5cd-48cc-9604-3ba2cddafa5d' Unlink(parent_id="'11db3dbf-6042-4df4-93e8-bd79cddc8531'", share_id="''", node_id="'f3e39ae8-b5cd-48cc-9604-3ba2cddafa5d'") failure Connection was closed cleanly.

The systray icon keeps unchanged. Yet the 'cloud' icon and, when left-clicked, shows the "disconnect" option. Let me know if you need something else. Thanks!

Og!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu One better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 468516 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

I'd like to reopen this ticket. When U1 is busy uploading photos to my account clicking on the disconnect button does nothing. This coupled with https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-storage-protocol/+bug/720707 makes u1 "break" an other usable computer.

To resolve it manually I run, multiple times, u1sdtool -q ; u1sdtool -d

In addition, after the deamon quits, any interaction with the control panel _starts the daemon again_ thus re-starting the upload that cannot be controlled. I'd like to request bumping priority of this bug please.
