I'm working with the Nightly builds.

It's very similar to another two bugs, it has similar symptoms.

- connect button doesn't do nothing https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+bug/411957
- Ubuntu One does not Connect https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+bug/418110

I will try the solve proposed in DanielCordeiro (Purge and reinstall ) in bug #411957 this afternoon.

Hi Joan, I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One is not working properly for you. Can you try running the client from the command line and report back here what it outputs? Thank you, Joshua

Hi Joshua, when I run the ubuntuone-client-applet in the console nothing is prompted. Where can I find some useful for us?

Wow! I don't believe it! I solved it deleting (moving to another name) the configuration information under the ~/.config/ubuntuone( moving to ~/.config/ubuntuone.old ).
I mean a residual configuration is breaking the connection and no sync is possible when this occurs. Forcing a new creation for configuration files on a application restart solves the problem of NO connection / NO syncronizing.

Hope this helps to someone!

Funny thing though. I had the same problem: Everytime I started my Ubuntu, I just got the "Disconnected" symbol and nothing seemed to happen.

Inspired by Joan's thread, I stopped Ubuntuone, renamed the ~/.config/ubuntuone/ubuntuone-client.conf to *.old and restarted it. It started just fine and for the moment everything seems alright: When updating something in the Ubuntu One folder, it connects, updates the cloud and then closes connection.

Looking at the conf-files (comparing the old with the new one), the only difference seems to be that one says "connected = False" (the correct one) and the other says "connected = True" (the old one). But this does not make too much sense to me - I suppose it just indicates the present connection status.

However, it works. So that's what I ultimately need :-)
