Bug Description

Well, I clicked "Applications - > Internet - > Ubuntu One"

Then I clicked the Ubuntu One icon on my system tray area, and select "Connect." But it never got connected.

I have this problem after I noticed the Ubuntu One folder in my home directory stopped synchronizing. So I disconnected it manually and hoped it would connect again if I let it reconnect. But it never reconnected.

Hi Forrest,

Thank you for taking the time to submit this bug report. I think the issue may be that you have an old key or the time set on your machine is off (I'm leaning towards the former). Can you try the following and let me know the results?

1. Quit the Ubuntu One client
2. Go to Applications->Accessories->Passwords and Encryption Keys and delete the Ubuntu One token there
  * Note: On 9.04, this may be found under the "Other Keys" tab
3. Do a system update (to get the latest Ubuntu One client release) and install
4. Open Applications->Internet->Ubuntu One
This should launch a web page where you provide your Ubuntu One login and authorize your machine for your account.

Thank you,

Joshua

Hi Joshua,

I did step 1 and tried step2 as you instructed me. But, I didn't see any token related to UbuntuOne in all tabs of "Passwords and Encryption Keys". So I simply assumed it wasn't there.

I think the later case you pointed could be right coz I am experiencing system clock problem lately. I fixed it using the GUI at date and time applet on my GNOME tray area. Do I have to reboot or login again?

Hi Forrest,

Thank you for following up and reporting here. If you fixed your clock, you should be able to try to re-launch Ubuntu One and see if you are prompted with a login web page or not. If you're still having problems, please attach ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/oauth-login.log and ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon-exceptions.log to this bug report so I can see what the client is logging.

Thank you,

Joshua

ok, the solution you provided doesn't work.

Here are files I have under ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log
$ ls

There is nothing in syncdaemon.log. But I attached the syncdaemon.log.2009-10-15_17-42-42 here.
