I've got this on both my active machines. I'm still losing data on a daily basis, probably because things aren't syncing properly—the cases I can be sure about are usually ones where files get truncated to 0 bytes, though I'm fairly sure I sometimes see my text files being replaced by slightly older versions.

(Clarification of my previous comment: I'm not sure that this is related, because the breaking applet may not be related to broken synchronization, but I'm mentioning it in case it is).

Thank you for taking the time to submit a bug report Jeroen and my apologies that the client isn't working properly on your PC. This is a known issue (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntuone-client/+bug/414635) that one of our devs just recently committed code to fix and we hope to have the release out yet this week.
