Bug Description
I tried starting it in a terminal to see what was happening and it said that it was already running. I am using 64 bit Jaunty.
To post a comment you must log in.
I had the same problem, although, I'm using a 32 bit version of jaunty, so I don't believe that has anything to do with it.
After using the menu item "Ubuntu One", a web page did not come up for me to add my computer. There was also no applet in my panel.
I then opened up terminal and used "pkill ubuntuone*" to kill the processes associated to Ubuntu One.
After that, I entered "ubuntuone- client- applet --signup" in order to get the webpage to add my computer and the applet showed up in my panel. Now, I ended the process unless I wanted terminal up and running whenever I used Ubuntu One.
Once that was done, using the Ubuntu One menu item opened up the applet in the panel correctly and Ubuntu One works. Although, the applet starts in the disconnected state and I have to manually connect, which may be intentional.
Also, I'm not sure whether a web page is still suppose to open up whenever I use the Ubuntu One menu item, which it still doesn't. I assume it doesn't since entering the command "ubuntuone- client- applet --signup" in terminal doesn't open up a web page either.
I just received my invitation today, so I haven't tried any previous versions of Ubuntu One before.
