Bug Description

I'm a wicd user, because I find NetworkManager flaky and unreliable when it comes to managing wireless connections.

So it was rather frustrating when I couldn't get Ubuntu One to run after it had successfully installed. It wasn't until I ran the ubuntuone-client-applet from the command line that it made mention to NetworkManager in the output. So I had to reinstall NetworkManager, which then removed wicd.

So after managing to get Ubuntu One running and authorised for my PC, I decided to put wicd back on. Of course, Ubuntu One stopped working. So I'm now back on NetworkManager full-time, but I'd rather not be.

So this bug report is two-fold. Firstly, there is a dependency on NetworkManager. which removes my FreedomOfChoice, and secondly there should be a dependency built into the .deb file if NetworkManager is required for this software to run.
