Thanks for the report, Andrew!

Lucio, looks like perhaps this is the NetManager online check? Who should review this?

It looks like perhaps NetworkManager isn't being used, and we require it currently.

I have the same problem (ubuntu jaunty, 32 bits)

My computer is affected also by the bug of firefox with network-manager (it appears without connection) this problem could is related? (apparently it's, additionally I can't connect from nautilus to ubuntu one file sharing... the files created from the web page aren't synchronized...)

The daemon is running

If I try to kill and then, I run:
diego@eld1e6o:~$ sudo ubuntuone-syncdaemon

/var/lib/python-support/python2.6/dbus/connection.py:242: DeprecationWarning: object.__init__() takes no parameters
  super(Connection, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs)

Any idea?

I had two issues preventing me from starting Ubuntuone

1) The installation instructions on page (https://ubuntuone.com/support/installation/) only install ubuntuone-client but does not install the ubuntuone-client-tools (dependency issue?). This was resolved by installing using:

sudo apt-get install ubuntuone-client ubuntuone-client-tools

2) The second issue for me was before this tray icon appeared, it had to open a browser page where I could select add this computer. I had just installed firefox-3.5 beta and it was not launching properly. After re-setting my preferred applications to the default Firefox (System>Preferences>Preferred Applications), starting Ubuntu One launched the browser window in which I could select to add this computer.

Now the tray icon appears and "Ubuntu One" appears as a favorite location in Nautilus.
