Ubuntu One deletes files upon closing

This has happened to me repeatedly over the last few weeks, maybe once every 5-10 times I save a file. The file is in the Ubuntu One director while it is open. I save it. Then I close it. Usually, it isn't until I try to open it on another synced computer that I realize it's gone, but yesterday I noticed that it disappeared also from the computer I was working on the moment I closed it. I always back up these files on a non-synced drive, so until yesterday I hadn't lost any work. But yesterday I waited until closing the file to copy it to my backup drive, and it disappeared before I could copy it. (I re-wrote the lost content, so I'm not looking for it anymore, only reporting the problem.) This last event happened on a machine other than the one for which I am now providing the log file.
