1 I reinstalled ubuntuone client - no files synced.

2. I uninstalled Ubuntoone and then deleted all ubuntuone files
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\xdg
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\ubuntuone

The Client fully synced on first use, but has never synced again.

The syncdaemon.log has these entries about a file to be updated.

Hi, I have the same problem, same client version, same exception, very similar log file.

I tried going back to xp client 4.1.91.1 but I get the same exceptions.

I can just add some speculation that this problem seems to coincide with the time that I started to get problems loading U1 pages in firefox (SSL peer rejected a handshake message for unacceptable content. (Error code: ssl_error_illegal_parameter_alert). Sometimes Each time I try to reload the page and it works, sometimes not. Could this be a problem with the media partner rather than a s/w problem?

Hope this helps

I also re-ran the installers for xp client 4.0.0 and 3.0.2b. I did not check if any shared libraries were copied out of the installation direvctory, but I cold see the GUI changing to the older version. I did not get files uploaded with any previous version.

Changed in ubuntuone-client:

I was running the same client on a different Windows 7 machine and it worked flawlessly. So it appears to be something XP specific.

I am suspicious of this DEBUG:

 Is path u'\\\\?\\C:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\Ubuntu One\\Kuwait\\Risk and Action Log_22-01-14.xlsx' a dir?

The first part of the file path does not look valid to me. Has the PATH structure changed in later version of Windows to a more UNC type?

I managed to get it working on XP again by deleting the tritcask data and hint files in
c:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\xdg\ubuntuone\syncdaemon

This is not desired behaviour - I think it is a bug, but it might have been triggered by time zone changes or something bizarre. I will see if everything is ok when I restart. All the other clients (Android, Ubuntu 12.04 32 and 64 bit) have been fine.
