Bug Description

When I tried to fresh install U1 for Windows 4.2 (newest version from U1 site, I suppose) in a XP machine (32 bit), after installation it should open the UI for me to login/create account. But instead a popup window showed:
---
C:\Program Files/ubuntuone\dist/ubuntuone-control-panel-qt.exe
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.
---
Note that the second slash IS a regular slash rather than a backslash.
I tried manually opening U1 from shortcut, and opening the said [...]-qt.exe. They all give the same error message. (Except the slash has become backslash)

I tried reinstalling, uninstalling and installing from a new install executable from U1 site, and both ways yield the same outcome.

I have attached install.log for your reference.

Our team will look into this issue however windows xp is no longer a target for the installer as the software is no longer full supported by Microsoft.

If there is an issue in the system and it is fixed for Microsoft Vista then that version may run as expected on xp. However there is no longer any active development specifically for window xp.

I will mark this bug as a wishlist bug and create a new one for vista to check if the bug is present there.

Many thanks for taking the time to report this issue.
