Bug Description
On xp 64bits:
- create a folder (in 'My documents')
- add it from the u1 control panel
- wait for it to be sync'ed
- trying to delete it pops up a dialog saying:
Cannot delete <folder name>: It is being used by another person or program
Close any program that might be using the file and try again
'delete' is either dragging the file to trash or right-click/delete
Un-checking the 'Sync Locally?' box in the control panel doesn't help.
Stopping sync from the web site doesn't help.
Disconnecting from u1 doesn't help
Quitting u1 from the task bar finally allows the folder to be deleted, pfew.
Re-trying the same process:
- create a folder (in 'My documents')
- add it from the u1 control panel
- wait for it to be sync'ed
- quit u1 from the task bar
- delete the folder locally
- start u1 again
The folder is back ! (Half expected, half not ;)
To get rid of a shared folder, one has to (in the right order !):
- stop sync'ing it locally (which doesn't propose to delete it locally...)
- remove it locally
- stop sync'ing the folder from the web site
There should be a simpler way...
A possible suspect would be the sync daemon being still subscribed to the folder ?
