Bug Description
I use Ubuntu One on my Windows 7, Ubuntu 12.04 and Lubuntu 12.04. And the Ubuntu one Folder on either system looks different, folders in it don't match while the client on each system tells me all files are in sync.
Adding new files looks to work just fine on all platforms and I see the changes instantly even on windows.
But removing files to others folders already in the Ubuntu One folder and renaming folders or files is a real pain.
for example:
I renamed to folders 'foo' and 'bar' to 'Foo' and 'Bar' in my Ubuntu One folder on windows.
They are renamed there, but on my lubuntu desktop and in the online file manager I now have 4 folders 'foo', 'bar', 'Foo' and 'Bar'
very annoying!
The problem seems to be with the windows client, I guess?
Hope someone can fix this.
I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One is not working properly for you. Can you do the following in order to provide us with important details that will help us determine the root cause of this issue?
1. On Ubuntu, open Applications- >Accessories- >Terminal and run: echo -e "[logging]\nlevel = DEBUG" > ~/.config/ ubuntuone/ logging. conf; u1sdtool -q; u1sdtool -c ubuntuone/ log/syncdaemon. log and ~/.cache/ ubuntuone/ log/syncdaemon- exception. log. For Windows 7 and Vista in your home folder, in AppData\ Local\xdg\ cache\ubuntuone \log <username> \Local Settings\ Application Data\xdg\ cache\ubuntuone
2. Try to reproduce the problem.
3. Attach the logs to this bug report. On Ubuntu they will be located at ~/.cache/
For Windows XP, log files can be found at C:\Documents and Settings\
Note that attaching syncdaemon.log will show filenames you are attempting to sync with Ubuntu One. If you do not want this to be public, please mark the bug as private and this bug report will only be available to you and the Ubuntu One team.
Thank you,
Leo
