Bug Description
The U1 music client is based on the Subsonic client for Android. In the Subsonic client it is possible to set a maximum bitrate for mobile network and WiFi. When using Subsonic to access the personal music collection at home via the Android App this is a great feature because bandwith is usually limited when on the go. Streaming high bitrates (320kBit/s from U1 music store) on a mobile network is fairly impossible. And even over WiFi downloading >100MB per Album to the phone takes too long. Of course bitrate transcoding will generate some load on the U1 servers. However, not all users will use the feature simultaneously.
