Song is only half-downloaded, app thinks it's done

I'm on a somewhat slow DSL connection (about 800Kbps down). Selecting a few songs and clicking 'Save on phone', only about 1.6Mb to 2Mb of each ~6Mb song was downloaded. The app seems to think it is done downloading. When playing the song, it shows the correct full duration of the song, but only plays what was downloaded. There's no indication that the song was not fully downloaded or any option to re-fetch the song, other than going back to the Music Library, chosing 'Remove from phone' then 'Save on phone' again.
