Hyperlinks not underlined or colored in Preview Post

There is a recent thread on FF&H about this:

When replying to a thread/post using the Advanced editor, if you have hyperlinks in your response, they do not appear underlined or colored when you Preview Post. If you drag your mouse over the link, it does show the underline and the hyperlink mouse icon.

This bug has been around for as long as I can remember, and it would be nice to get it fixed. Thank you.

Confirm this, I can't remember if it was like this before the big forum changeover earlier this year - but it has been so for as long as I can remember

Thank you for confirming forestpixie, I'll see a Low importance on this bug since it's a simple cosmetic issue and doesn't affect functionality.

Hey Steve,
I see that you actually haven't changed to Wishlist yet, but I disagree with your analysis. I think it's a normal expectation that when you click Preview Post, you would see as close to the real response as possible, including links being shown as links. Though this is a feature/improvement request, that behavior still qualifies as a bug to me. If you still want to set Wishlist, then I can live with it :)

This is actually by design and not a bug. Instead of underlining them we'll look at making them another color or style.

I think this deserves a higher priority and more attention as this problem causes many users difficulty. The preview should be as close to the actual result as possible; as it is, it confuses users and makes editing harder.
