Bug Description

Python example code at:

- http://developer.ubuntu.com/resources/technologies/application-indicators/
- http://developer.ubuntu.com/resources/technologies/sound-menu/
- and probably more similar pages

use outdated and deprecated libraries (like python-indicate, python-notify or pygtk) and thus do not work in modern Ubuntu versions.

They should be changed to use Python 3.x, PyGI and libmessaging-menu instead.

summary: - Python documentation/snippets are outdated and don't work
+ Python code snippets are outdated and don't work

I think Importance should be set at least as Medium, given that those resources are in a "spotlight" position on http://developer.ubuntu.com/resources/platform/unity/, which is one of the main reference point for development on Unity.
