tilix doesn't launch

When I click on the tilix icon either in the dock or via the menu, it bounces, the mouse pointer changes to busy for awhile, and then nothing happens.

I can't check any logs or check budgie-desktop version because I can't launch the terminal (tilix).

ubuntu-budgie 17.10.1

Run gnome software and install gnome terminal

Run gnome terminal and then type

tilix

What do you see?

running tilix from gnome terminal it works fine. Launching from the dock or menu doesn't work.

I have the same situation on 18.04. Same happened for Files.
What is helping me is to kill gnome-session-binary.
After restart all working well.

I think it related to situation when you put system in suspend mode, because I observe it after this operation.
