We need to support Nvidia proprietary drivers

Installing Xorg NV drivers also does not work

xserver-xorg-video-nv is not the nVidia proprietary driver, it's an old version of the free driver which supports FreeBSD.

It just needs a rebuild in order to make it installable. I'll take care of that.

Yes, i've speaking about two, one free nv and another nvidia (proprietary)

Nvidia's FreeBSD driver expects a FreeBSD userland which is very diffent from GNU. I do think that if enough distros offer a GNU/kFreeBSD version that Nvidia would release a GNU/kFreeBSD driver.

Agreed. Or maybe enough users, or an online petition or so...

For now I'll just rebuild nv package. Feel free to open a new bug for nvidia proprietary driver if you like :-)

I Think we can use something like ArchBSD was used to https://github.com/PacBSD/abs/tree/master/extra/nvidia

Btw maybe we should have a separate bug to track Nvidia proprietary driver. What do you think?

Yes, now nv drivers works pretty good, yes we would need to open new bug for Nvidia's proprietary driver.
