Bug Description

This was upstream bug (https://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/4753) that recently has been fixed.

I propose to add the patch to the offician ubuntu package so that users can get this fix before the new release, since the bug is quite irritating.

Thanks for the debdiff.

For this to be acceptable as an SRU for trusty, you need to prepare a debdiff for the development release (zesty) first.

Also, please add the bug number to the changelog, and properly tag the patch using these guidelines:

http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep3/

Thanks!

Alright, I'll add it to my plan, though I can't declare any specific term.
