Bug Description

Upstream KDE initially maintained two versions, KDE4 and Plasma 5.

Kubuntu started to package the newer KF5 version in new packaging called kdeconnect-plasma. However, Debian decided to reuse the old KDE4-name packaging and released KF5 version in this packaging.

Kubuntu now want to follow this move and released kdeconnect 1.0.1, however this version is stuck in proposed due to issues with the kdeconnect-plasma debug package.

I can confirm this, and would also add that the kdeconnect-plasma package requested for removal here is no longer useful, as it is KDE4 and additionally does not function with currently required and provided android companion app.
