Bug Description

HP lt4132 LTE/HSPA+ 4G Module (03f0:a31d) modem does not work without this patch:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?h=v4.13-rc3&id=a68491f895a937778bb25b0795830797239de31f

Modem connects, but does not receive any packets.
ifconfig shows;
wwp0s20f0u10c3 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 9e:63:76:8e:c0:91
          inet addr:10.137.74.102 Bcast:10.137.74.103 Mask:255.255.255.252

          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:3465 (3.4 KB)

Booting to http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.13-rc3/ fixes the problem. Modem works as expected.

I built a Xenial test kernel with a pick of commit a68491f895a937. This test kernel can be downloaded from:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1707643/

Can you test this kernel an see if it resolves this bug?

This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-xenial' to 'verification-done-xenial'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-xenial' to 'verification-failed-xenial'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!
