Bug Description
Please backport this patch [1] to Ubuntu kernel (mostly Xenial, as I guess Yakety will include it): it adds support to keyboard backlight in new thinkpads, exposing the sysnode that UPower (and unity/gnome settings daemon) needs to control it.
