Bug Description
The package "Ubuntu Software" does not have "Font Manager" available for install while "Synaptic" does.
This is bad.
I don't mind having to learn how to deal with either, but PLEASE if both are on offer then keep them synchronized. Alternatively, do away with one of them.

- ubuntu software not synced with synaptic + font-manager does not appear in gnome-software |
Ubuntu Software uses appstream data to list available applications, as opposed to synaptic which is a plain package management GUI (it doesn't make a distinction between applications and other types of packages).
In Ubuntu 18.04, Font Manager is listed in Ubuntu Software, because the upstream project added appstream data in a recent release (https:/ /github. com/FontManager /master/ commit/ 36e20510955a2dd c34bebbfc7f1db3 f0fd6c695e).
The version in 16.04 doesn't have that appstream data, which explains why it doesn't appear in Ubuntu Software.
