package missing in 16.04

This package does not exist in 16.04. Trying to install it yields:

However the following packages replace it:
  python-fastimport

But the python-fastimport package doesn't appear relevant to Bazaar (and is missing both the fast-import and fast-export commands).

I know, and it's a bit of a shame. bzr-fastimport has returned in 16.10, but it is very unfortunate that it's not available at all in the LTS release. Maybe that makes it a good candidate for backporting. In any event, when I still have to do this kind of thing (thankfully, getting more rare by the day ;), I fire up a trusty or vivid chroot. I haven't had to convert any repos since switching to Yakkety on my main dev boxes, so I haven't tried the new version there.

The yakkety package works fine for me on xenial, but I would prefer if it was added to the backports repository.

This issue appears to have been corrected by Bionic. Does anyone have a plan to backport a package to Xenial?
