@gimpsmart your e-mail is well written, but I don't believe it applies to the EXT0DB6Q for the 840 EVO.

We no longer receive the "failed to get NCQ Send/Recv Log Emask 0x1" errors with this level of firmware which implies that the log has been correctly implemented. Samsung may simply need to re-spin the firmware for your 850 Pro drive with the fix.

That being said, running a large fstrim on a EXT0DB6Q drive did still show timeout similar to below

It is because of these timeout errors that we decided to pull the upstream commit to disable NCQ trim on samsung SSDs.

Are there any users of the EXT0DB6Q firmware that are still get the "failed to get NCQ Send/Recv Log Emask 0x1" errors?
