I am sorry about the issues you are having, but please, let's be consistent on what issue we are talking about in this particular thread. There are multiple possible reasons for X to crash, and it strikes me that you clearly refer to another issue than the one described here. I was having this issue (reported one of the duplicates), my X crashed approximately every 20 minutes. After having switched to nouveau (the open source driver), my box ran fine for two weeks without a single crash. This particular issue seems to be related to my specific video card, I have colleagues running the nvidia-current on other cards just fine. > ... why you guys started make 12.10 when you don't have finished 12.04!
