Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Oneiric testing i386

since latest updated update-manager package (the one used), it cant be loaded from either:
system admin update-manager
or terminal
this happen on a standard installation (natty upgrade) with ubuntu-desktop installed but logged as "classic"

get this output:

Hello,
   I can confirm this bug as well, I was able to resolve it my modifying /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/UpdateManager/UpdateManager.py .

NOTE : This only impacts those not using Unity (Gnome3/Classic)

confirm commenting all lines with "unity*" but 674 & 681 let update-manager working
