Bug Description
SRU Justification
Impact:
The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar
in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to
demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream
by originating either directly from Linus' tree or in a minimally
backported form of that patch. The 3.0.22 upstream stable
patch set is now available. It should be included in the Ubuntu
kernel as well.
TEST CASE: TBD
The following patches are in the 3.0.22 stable release:
perf evsel: Fix an issue where perf report fails to show the proper percentage
perf tools: Fix perf stack to non executable on x86_64
drm/i915: no lvds quirk for AOpen MP45
hwmon: (f75375s) Fix bit shifting in f75375_write16
lib: proportion: lower PROP_MAX_SHIFT to 32 on 64-bit kernel
relay: prevent integer overflow in relay_open()
mac80211: timeout a single frame in the rx reorder buffer
writeback: fix dereferencing NULL bdi->dev on trace_writeback
gpio/pca953x: Fix warning of enabled interrupts in handler
hwmon: (f75375s) Fix automatic pwm mode setting for F75373 & F75375
crypto: sha512 - Use binary and instead of modulus
crypto: sha512 - Avoid stack bloat on i386
ALSA: intel8x0: Fix default inaudible sound on Gateway M520
xen pvhvm: do not remap pirqs onto evtchns if !xen_have_
slub: fix a possible memleak in __slab_alloc()
crypto: sha512 - use standard ror64()

The oneiric kernel packages in pre-proposed ppa are still building against the 3.0.22 upstream kernel.
Any reason why there is no tracking bug and/or oneiric build for 3.0.23, released upstream last week?
