Bug Description
The libdnet package was pulled in as a dependency by some package. result: both my ubuntu machines had the same fake mac HWaddr aa:00:04:00:0a:04, that messed up my network. I deleted the relevant packages (all that had anything to do with libdnet) and it works again.

The dnet-common package includes no integration with upstart. That means the following prohibition at the top of /etc/init.d/decnet:
# This script MUST be run before TCP/IP is started.
is a problem.
For precise, the problems are mitigated by the fact that decnet only starts if explicitly configured (Debian bug #637179); but in oneiric, simply installing this package will mangle the network interfaces.
