Bug Description

SemiMultitouch devices are not enabled in the Natty x server, so their touch support should be disabled in the input modules.

I tried to implement this today, and I think the input module tweaks to synaptics aren't too bad. However, I realized that many more tweaks would be needed to the server as well. I'm not comfortable adding in this much change this late in the cycle, so I'm going to change this bug so that it is about disabling semi-multitouch device support in natty.

I'm going to mark this as won't fix for xserver-xorg-input-evdev because evdev is not used for trackpads by default. There is no benefit to using evdev for trackpads in Natty. In Oneiric, the code would just be changed to fully support semi-multitouch devices anyways, so there's not much benefit to be gained by disabling semi-multitouch support in Natty.

Given that X evdev isn't used for trackpads and that a fix has been added in X synaptics, I'm marking this bug as won't fix for the server and X evdev.
