These are all really caused by the bits in the previous -proposed package (3.3).

In the meanwhile, you can work around this symptom by manually installing the newer package with sudo dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/alsa-utils_1.0.23-2ubuntu3.4_*.deb
