Discussed on IRC with kwwii, the mono icons should be move to humanity with a non indicator specific naming

The reason they seem similar is probably because the same person made them. The MeMenu version were made per design team specification but have been judged not to fit the bill, we'll be replacing them soon with a better panel styled version.

This is was fixed in humanity when 0.5.1 was released , the same icon is used in both places.

isn't this supposed to be a MeMenu bug?
I suggest presence settings get moved to the Me Menu entirely, AIUI from MPT's screenshot, adium is well headed in that direction already. Also does the Me Menu already have preliminary support for custom status text, while it must be noted that it sends that text to its broadcasting client "Gwibber" without any sort of feedback whatsoever a.t.m.

This bug is fixed in Maverick as now the icons in the memenu and empathy are the same. so the actual fix was in empathy

Sorry but I still see (Maverick fully updated here) that Empathy uses different icons from the one in the MeMenu. I don't know if it is supposed to, but I don't think it is. Empathy for the record shows the humanity icons, while the MeMenu shows the ubuntu-mono ones.
