Could you please try installing the package linux-alsa- driver- modules- 2.6.32- 22-generic from the Ubuntu Audio Dev PPA, http:// launchpad. net/~ubuntu- audio-dev/ +archive, and reboot yoru system. Once you reboot, please check to see whether you have any sound.
