While trying to triage Ubuntu Bug #921489 I run into some problems with debug symbols.

I suspect that you have a version of libgssapi-krb5-2 different than
libkrb5-dbg
can you try
aptitude reinstall libgssapi-krb5-2 libkrb5-dbg and see if the messages
change?

OK, setting your status back to new.
I don't have permission to propose an upload to lucid to fix this.

This package version is a security update that was published in October of last year. The bug with openafs, bug #660360, was apparently resolved in *February* of last year, which means the security update should have been built already using the fixed version of pkg-create-dbgsym; and in any event, pkg-create-dbgsym was last updated in lucid in April 2010, right after the 10.04 release.

So I don't think it's clear that this is the same bug, or that a no-change rebuild of krb5 will fix it as it did for openafs. Jan, have you tried a local rebuild, with or without pkg-create-dbgsym and pkgbinarymangler installed?

I followed http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/rebuilding-ubuntu-debian-linux-binary-package/

then I did

dpkg -i *.deb

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 213784 2012-01-26 10:40 /usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2.2
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1214599 2012-01-26 10:40 /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so.2.2

should indicate that the new files are in place.

The messages still remains in GDB.

Ok, this certainly indicates that something else is going on here. I have no idea what, unfortunately.
