opening burn dialog interrupts all inprogress cd/dvd writes

Simply opening the burn dialog results in all cd/dvd burners attached to the system being reset. As a result all actual burns currently in progress are interrupted, trashing the CD or DVD that was being created.

Is this reproducibile with the latest release available in Lucid?

Does not seem to be a problem under the Lucid Live CD (alpha1). Opening the burn dialog doesn't appear to interrupt other burning sessions. However, this still leaves the problem with the version in Karmic.

Additionally, a back port of the Lucid package to Karmic appears to correct the problem. Perhaps a back port of the package can be officially pushed as an update?

Karmic has long since stopped to receive any updates. Marking the Karmic task for this ticket as "Won't Fix".
