I never know should i report or not given the fact that it's from the proposed repo which isn't enabled by default.

Clearly report it. Otherwise there is no chance to fix it before this goes to
updates. Could you open a new bug report and add a little more information to
it (lspci -vvnn. dmesg, lsmod). Do you have linux-backports-modules enabled or
not? Please assign me to that report (stefan-bader-canonical). Package should
be linux (Ubuntu). Thanks!

Numerous people in the Ubuntu forums (myself included) reporting showstopping problems after updating to 2.6.27.13. Specifically, X fails to create a desktop, so users see nothing but a black screen after the usplash goes away. This seems to specifically affect nVidia users.

Workaround: Boot into safe mode (or older kernel), install nvidia-glx-180 and nvidia-180-kernel-source. Reboot. Go into Hardware Manager, activate nVidia 180.11 driver, and reboot into updated kernel.
