Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image

A buffer overflow in the kernel prevents Sigmatel IrDA devices from loading their firmware and makes them therefore unusable.

For Intrepid this was part of the 2.6.27.13 stable integration which should be released with -12.28.
For Jaunty it was included in the 2.6.28.2 stable updates which have been released in -6.16.
