Wireless still does not work out of the box, but with a minimal change it does.

Just blacklist the ath_pci module and reboot. Wireless will be working with no problem.

To blacklist the module:

$ sudo vi /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

Then, add this line to the file:

blacklist ath_pci
