Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
After starting the Xserver the screen simply goes blank and shows nothing (w/o sync, display says: "no signal"). Switching to a console is not possible, the screen remains blank. However, the system responds to ctrl+alt+del and reboots. Here comes the data of my system:
Computer: Transtec Senyo 610 Mini-PC http://
Gfx: Intel x3100
Proc: Intel Core2 Duo (T5550)
Display: Old LCD with analog-input, connected via DVI to VGA-adaptor
OS: Ubuntu 8.04 with all updates applied.
lspci | grep VGA:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
The only way to make it work is to manually specify the VESA-driver.
xorg.conf and log will follow as attachments.
