This problem is so serious, we are unable to continue using this setup in our office environment, since I managed to corrupt one of the financial control spreadsheets. I have switched to using NFS, and as you would expect, no problems. I have repeated my previous test from Open Question #44845, and this is 100%. We do have another machine which I can use for testing if anyone comes up with a proposed solution.
